We read in John Chapter 6, about the crowd that had come to hear Jesus teach.
That evening, Jesus said to Philip, "Where can we buy bread for these people to eat?" Philip's answer was, "we would need about a year's wages to buy bread for these people to eat."
Andrew, one of Jesus' disciples, said, "there is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish , but that won't go very far for so many people." There were 5,000 men in the crowd.
Jesus said, "Have the people sit down." Then, he took the loaves, gave thanks, and gave to the disciples to distribute it to the people.
The Bible says, the people ate until they were filled, and the disciples filled twelve baskets with the leftovers!
There are times we may feel that what we have to offer for spiritual nourishment to others is not enough. But, when we give it to the Lord, He blesses it, and causes it to feed a multitude.
Nothing that we give to God is wasted, no matter how small or insufficient it my seem to us.
